We’re a private practice offering a wide range of dental treatments from our stylish rooms in Islington, North London. We have a sizeable team of dentists, most of whom are recognised specialists in their fields. This means patients can benefit from well-coordinated, high-quality care. We're delighted that Avan Mohammed has been awarded Best Young Dentist in the South East in The Dentistry Awards 2023.

Our dental services
We offer cosmetic, aesthetic and restorative dentistry as well as general dentistry such as check-ups, fillings and hygiene appointments. You can come to us for teeth straightening or whitening plus crowns, bridges, implants, root canal fillings and extractions.
Our patient care team will discuss your treatment options with you in a relaxed and private setting away from the dental surgeries.
Children are welcome
We’re in a residential area with primary schools close by, so we treat quite a few children, some of whom are referred by their own dentists. There are books and crayons to keep child patients – and their siblings – well entertained.
We take referrals
Our specialists and surgeons can handle complex cases requiring experience or equipment that other practices often just don’t have. That’s why dentists across North London regularly refer their patients to us. We’re only too pleased to have an initial chat, or to provide services in orthodontics, prosthodontics, endodontics, periodontics and oral surgery.
How to find us
We’re next to the Hope & Anchor pub, just off Upper Street. Take the Victoria line to Highbury & Islington or the Northern line to Angel. Alternatively, buses 4, 19, 30 and 43 stop on Upper Street while buses 271, 277 and 393 stop at Highbury Corner. There’s limited parking on Canonbury Road.

Patient feedback
Whitening can be an important part of a smile makeover. We always check the suitability of your teeth, as it may not be recommended for some patients with high sensitivity. It’s important to know that we may not be able to treat all of your teeth: whitening can’t alter the colour of fillings, crowns, veneers, for example. Your dentist can explain and suggest any options open to you.
We do understand that some people really struggle with dental treatment. But we have lots of ways to help put you at ease. Please just tell us how you feel and what worries you, and then we can work together to decide on the right approach.
Generally we recommend twice yearly check-ups every six months. However, this varies on a case by case basis. Your Bupa Dental Care dentist will talk to you about when and how often we need to see you.
