Dr Boernert graduated from the Dental School of the University of Leipzig, Germany in 1996. After a brief spell working in private practice, she started her five year specialist Orthodontic training, also at Leipzig University. In 2001 she was awarded the higher academic degree of "Doctor in Dental Surgery" and won the Carl Zeiss Award for the best doctorate thesis in Dentistry for that year.
Dr Boernert has worked as a Locum Consultant at King's College Hospital in London and Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford. She especially enjoys the treatment of complex cases in both adults and children. She is experienced in using all types of removable and fixed orthodontic appliances, including invisible lingual braces (incognito) and temporary orthodontic mini implants, which can shorten courses of treatment by up to several months.
Dr Boernert is on the specialist list in Orthodontics as recognised by the General Dental Council.
